Officials respond to crash involving car and ambulance Monday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Authorities were called to the scene of a car vs. ambulance crash on the corner of 35th and Lisbon Monday, November 4th.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Officials say a med unit was headed northbound on N. 35th Street when it struck an eastbound 2002 Buick LeSabre.

The med unit was operating as an emergency vehicle at the time of the crash.

The driver and passenger in the med unit were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Buick -- a 31-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
