Officials: Wrong-way drunken driver involved in crash in Milwaukee County
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office say deputies arrested 41-year-old Nyree Holt of Milwaukee on Monday morning, April 13th. She's accused of driving drunk and the wrong way on I-43.
Dispatches received multiple calls shortly before 2 a.m. Monday reporting a wrong-way driver traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-43 south of Brown Deer Road. The driver ran off the road and crashed in a ditch just north of the county line.
The vehicle passed a Bayside police vehicle that was on a traffic stop. The officer noted that the car was missing the passenger side tires and was riding on its right rims.
