On "Cesar Chavez Day," life-size statue of labor, civil rights leader unveiled on Cesar Chavez Drive

MILWAUKEE -- A life-size statue of labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez was unveiled on Milwaukee's south side on Thursday, March 31st.

The statue is located in the El Rey supermarket pedestrian plaza on Cesar Chavez Drive.

More than $50,000 was raised to create the statue.

March 31st was "Cesar Chavez Day."
