One building holds loads of information about the past of Milwaukee residents

MILWAUKEE -- It's a building informally known as the Brewers' Bank. Why? Because a lot of big players in the brewing industry once kept their money there. When the bank was built in 1913, massive safe doors were placed first -- and then the building was built around them.

Today, the building stores a rich part of our city's history -- records on residents dating back to the 1800s -- including Brian Kramp's family.

If you would like to visit the archive room at the Milwaukee County Historical Society, it's costs $7 to do so. But make sure to call ahead to check that what you are looking for is actually there.
