One dead after early morning motorcycle crash in Racine County

RACINE CO. (WITI) -- The Racine County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a one vehicle motorcycle accident during the early morning hours of Sunday, April 20th.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. on Hill Valley Rd. in the Town of Waterford. A passerby came across the scene and contacted authorities.

Rescue personnel attempted life saving efforts but the 29-year-old victim, a resident of the Town of Waterford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was not wearing a helmet.

The victim has been identified as Gregory Treffinger.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
