One dead, another hurt after collision between car, motorcycle in Racine

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are investigating a fatal collision between a car and motorcycle early Friday, April 3rd. The wreck happened near 21st and Lathrop just after midnight.

The operator of motorcycle was a 24-year-old man. He had a 21-year-old woman passenger. The vehicle involved in the accident was operated by a 39-year-old male. All three involved in the accident were taken to Wheaton Franciscan Health Care emergency. The operator of the motorcycle passed away, while the other two were treated for injuries.

Racine Police accident investigators as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol are conducting the preliminary investigation into the cause of the accident. The name of the deceased will not be released due to family notification.
