One of three accused in attempted robbery due in court
MILWAUKEE (WITI) — 21-year-old Jose Munoz, the man charged in connection with a robbery attempt that took place at Kochanski’s Beer Hall on Milwaukee’s south side on August 16th, is due in court Tuesday, January 14th for plea hearing.
Munoz was one of three people attempting to rob the tavern.
A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and killed in the robbery attempt — when the bar owner pulled a gun to defend himself and his customers. That man has been identified as Carmelo Matos-Arzola.
On Tuesday, the court indicated there was a plea deal in the works for Munoz. That might be worked out by November 19th, when Munoz is due back in court.
