MILWAUKEE - A Philadelphia Eagles fan has gone viral for all the wrong reasons: A video, shared on social media, shows the man berating two Green Bay Packers fans during Sunday's playoff game.

Two Packers fans cheered for their team in the stands of Lincoln Financial Field, and to say they experienced a tough crowd would be an understatement.

One of the Packers fans posted a video on social media that showed the Eagles fan repeatedly calling his fiancée slurs and, as he wrote, "unprovokedly" verbally attacking them.
The post went viral on social media, racking up millions of views and attention from internet sleuths.
"You could be recorded in a second, and it doesn't just go to five people – it goes to millions," said Patrick Johnson, Marquette University assistant professor of journalism.

FOX 29 in Philadelphia said the rant landed the Eagles fan a lifetime ban from Lincoln Financial Field.
"It was checks and balances in a way that we haven't seen before. Not only did it happen, not only did it happen live – it moved and moved and moved," said Johnson.

Johnson said the video's viral spread shows the power social media can hold when it comes to accountability.
"It also means our reputations are instantaneously possibly elevated, or ruined," he said.
As for the woman who was berated in the video, the Eagles are working to send her Packers merchandise as an apology.
As of Tuesday evening, Jan. 14, the Eagles fan had been fired from his job at BCT Partners as well.
