Pedestrian struck & killed by hit-and-run driver in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN -- New Berlin police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver and struck again by a second vehicle early Saturday, October 31st.

Officials say officers from New Berlin and Brookfield responded to the crash scene shortly before 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Greenfield Ave. and Coachlight Dr. A man walking in the area had been struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Greenfield Ave.

Officials say the suspect vehicle did not stop -- and continued east on Greenfield Ave. That vehicle was located a short while later on Greenfield Ave. in Milwaukee County. The driver was taken into custody.

According to police, a second vehicle ran over the pedestrian after already being hit. That vehicle was later found by police but no arrests were made.
