Penfield Children’s Center renovation of indoor playground

Penfield Children’s Center held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, Dec. 9 to mark the start of the renovation of its indoor playground. 

According to a press release, the indoor playground provides children ages 1-5 with daily opportunities to develop motor skills through play. 

"This renovation represents a significant investment in our mission to support the growth and development of children in our care," said Ann Becker, VP of Programs at Penfield Children’s Center. "We are thrilled to create an even more engaging and inclusive space where children can explore, learn, and thrive."

The upcoming renovation, funded by a $480,000 capital campaign, will feature interactive play stations, including a tree fort, a pirate ship, and RV camper, all designed by Captivate Exhibits.

The groundbreaking ceremony will featured the Penfield executive team alongside construction partners Smart Spaces a BSI integration partner and Selzer-Ornst, who will ceremonially begin the demolition to launch this exciting project.
