JEFFERSON -- The oldest roadside burger stand in Wisconsin is now 100 years old!
Thousands of people stopped by Wedl's in Jefferson over the weekend to celebrate this milestone.

Small businesses are tradition in Jefferson. Wedl's, the little red burger stand, celebrated its 100th anniversary this weekend.

"It's worth waiting in line for. They're just -- they're that good," a customer said.
"This town, this community prides itself on this," Robby Wedl said.
Robby Wedl's family owns Wedl's.

"It's kinda unique to be a part of it and to carry it onto the next generation," Robby Wedl said.
The burger stand started with Malcom Fischers grandparents.
"They would be very proud today to see what they've done with it," Fischer said.
He said each bite brings him back.

"Oh they make them just the way they used to. I recall in the 40s buying a burger for 10 cents and eating it while walking on the way home," Fischer said.
"People come to Jefferson to get Wedl's burgers," a Wedl's official said.
