Plane carrying four makes emergency landing in Dodge Co.
DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say a plane made an emergency landing on Sunday afternoon, June 23rd in the Columbus area.
Officials say the plane made an emergency landing in a field in the general area of Canary Rd/CTH G, in the Town of Beaver Dam (about 2 miles south of the City of Beaver Dam).
The aircraft is a Piper Archer, low-wing, fixed-wing aircraft and was occupied by four individuals.
There are no injuries reported with the landing.
The pilot reported to deputies on scene that a switch, that changes fuel tanks, malfunctioned during the flight. This malfunction prevented the pilot from switching to the other fuel tank, and resulted in the aircraft losing power.
