Police: 14-year-old girl dies at the hospital after she was shot in Racine

Police say female victim shot in Racine; witnesses say it was a 14-year-old girl

RACINE --Racine police say a 14-year-old girl died at Children's Hospital Thursday night, September 10th after she was shot near Douglas and Albert in Racine.

Police were dispatched to a home in the area around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a girl who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The girl was taken to the hospital, and then transported via Flight for Life to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.

Police say some persons of interest have been identified, but this investigation continues.

Racine police are interested in any additional information anyone may have regarding this death investigation.
