Police: 2 dead after crash involving DPW truck, car near 76th & Sheridan
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 9:30 a.m. on September 22nd near the intersection of 76th Street and Sheridan Avenue.
According to police, a City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works truck was traveling westbound on W. Sheridan Avenue and was struck by a 1997 Buick Century that was traveling southbound on N. 76th Street.
The passenger of the Buick, a 20-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver of the Buick was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office have confirmed for FOX6 News that this person passed away at the hospital.
The driver and passenger of the DPW truck were not injured.
MPD is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
