MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were able to quickly arrest two burglary suspects Wednesday, April 22nd, and they found items stolen in the burglary in the suspect vehicle.
Officers responded to the 2600 block of S. Fulton Street just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person. A witness told officers she saw a suspect enter a nearby home and leave with a large object in a blanket.
The witness gave police a detailed description of the suspect and the suspect’s car.
Officers talked with the victims -- who said their television and other electronics were stolen from their home.
Officers on patrol in the 2000 block of S. Kinnickinnic Avenue located the suspect’s car and inside found the television and other items along with a crowbar, gloves and flashlight. The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody for burglary, possession of burglarious tools and several municipal warrants.
The suspects are a 40-year-old Milwaukee man and a 44-year-old Milwaukee man and both are convicted felons.
This case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
