Police called to Schulte Elementary School in Sturtevant after threat found on Post-it note

STURTEVANT -- A Racine Unified School District spokeswoman tells FOX6 News police were called to Schulte Elementary School on Wednesday, October 7th after a threat was found.

We're told employees found a Post-it note with a threat written on it. The note was discovered on the outside of the door to a classroom at the end of the school day.

Police were called to the school, and determined this was not a substantial threat.

Students were dismissed a few minutes early -- and class will be in session at the K-5 school on Thursday.

This is the fourth incident involving a threat at a school in southeastern Wisconsin since last Thursday. A threat closed all schools in the Pewaukee School District last Friday, October 2nd.

Police say an eighth-grade student admitted to writing a threat reading: "This school will explode" at John Long Middle School in Grafton. That threat was discovered on Monday morning, October 5th.

A 14-year-old student was apprehended after a bomb and weapons threat was found in a restroom at Yorkville Elementary School in Union Grove on Tuesday, October 6th. That handwritten threat was found in a bathroom at the school.
