Police chase vehicle from Cudahy to Milwaukee, arrest suspects along the way
CUDAHY (WITI) -- Cudahy police officers were sent on a vehicle chase after attempting to conduct a traffic stop for a vehicle violation when the driver refused to stop.
The incident happened on Saturday, April 18th, and approximately 9:40 a.m.
Authorities say the Cudahy Police Department was attempting to conduct the stop in 4800 block of S. Packard Avenue when the driver refused to stop.
Officers pursued the vehicle eastbound on E. Layton Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a traffic sign at the intersection of E. Layton and S. Lake Drive.
Police say two passengers then fled from the vehicle and were immediately taken into custody.
The driver continued driving northbound on S. Lake Drive through St. Francis and traveled northbound on S. Superior Street in Milwaukee.
Authorities say a third passenger fled from the vehicle in the 1200 block of E. Conway Street and was taken into custody.
The vehicle finally came to a stop near 7th and Lincoln Avenue in Milwaukee and the driver was taken into custody.
No officers or citizens were injured.
All four occupants of the vehicle are in custody.
Police are still investigating this incident. FOX6 News will continue to update this story when more information is available.
