Police investigate attempted homicide on Three Mile Rd.
RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are investigating an attempted homicide on Three Mile Rd. that happened early on Friday, August 30th.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment on Three Mile Rd. for a report of a stabbing. Officers located a 45-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man who had been stabbed. Both victims were transported by Racine Fire Department Rescue to Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Emergency Room and then to Froedtert Hospital.
Initial investigation indicates the 72-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were inside an apartment at 522 Three Mile Rd. with the suspect. The suspect attacked the 45-year-old woman and the woman fled the apartment. The suspect then attacked the 72-year-old man and the suspect then fled the apartment.
Around 1 p.m. on Friday, the 48-year-old person of interest in this incident was located inside a home on Albert St. in Racine. He is in custody -- but no further information is being released at this time.
