Police: Man turned himself in after shooting near 21st and Hopkins

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police detectives responded to a shooting near 21st Street and Hopkins Street shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23.

According to police, the victim knocked on a neighbor's door asking for help and was transported to a nearby hospital -- recovering from injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities said a man later turned himself in at Milwaukee Police Department's District 7 station, about a mile and a half west from where police responded to the incident.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this shooting was ongoing.
