Police: Man, woman shot and hurt in separate incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a pair of shootings that happened on Monday afternoon, February 22nd within five minutes of one another. Police do not believe these incidents are related.

The first shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. near 64th and Medford.

Police say a 19-year-old woman from Milwaukee was shot and injured. She was able to take herself to the hospital, and it is expected she will survive.

The second shooting happened around 2:35 p.m. near 27th and North Avenue.

Police say a 22-year-old man was shot while in a vehicle in the area. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.

Police believe this shooting to be drug related.

The circumstances surrounding these incidents are under investigation, and police are seeking suspects.
