Police: Man's body pulled from water near 16th and Canal

MILWAUKEE -- A body was pulled from the water Sunday, April 12 near 16th Street and Canal Street, officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department confirmed.

Police said it was that of a 56-year-old man.

Officers responded shortly before 7 p.m. to a report of a subject in the water, and the man's body was recovered with help from MFD.

The circumstances were under investigation.

The man's name was not released, pending family notification.
