Police need help to identify robbery, shooting suspect

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect wanted for an armed robbery and shooting near Capitol and Appleton on December 7, 2013 at approximately 12:10 pm.

The suspect approached and grabbed the victim from behind and the two started to struggle over the victim's coat. The suspect shot the victim, a 37-year-old Milwaukee man, one time and took off with his coat in extremely cold weather.



The suspect is described as a black male, between 20-24 years-old, 5'8" to 6' tall, thin build and a medium complexion. He was wearing a red t-shirt with unknown characters on the front and blue jeans. The stolen item was a brown, leather, Pelle Pelle coat with tribal designs on the sleeve and decoration on the back. It's believed the suspect either lives in the immediate area or was possibly in a vehicle and spotted the victim.
