Police recover vehicle stolen from woman at U.S. Bank in Brown Deer, but no arrests have been made
BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police say on Monday, July 27th, officers with the Milwaukee Police Department were able to recover a vehicle taken from a 61-year-old woman at the U.S. Bank near Brown Deer & Green Bay Road on Sunday.
Around 4:00 p.m., MPD officers were involved in a short pursuit of the vehicle. The vehicle crashed in the 2600 block of North 50th Street -- and the occupant(s) of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
No arrests were made -- but MPD was able to recover the vehicle. It is being processed for evidence.
Authorities responded to the initial call on Sunday, July 26th. According to police, a 61-year-old Milwaukee woman was robbed at gunpoint and had her vehicle taken. The two suspects also ordered her at gunpoint to withdraw money from the ATM.
The suspects were last observed westbound on W. Brown Deer Road in a bronze 2013 Buick Encore and a maroon Ford Taurus.
Suspect #1 is described as a male, black, 17-18 years of age, 5'3" tall, slim build, unknown facial hair/tattoos, medium complexion, with braids/dreadlocks, wearing all black clothing, black hat and gloves.
Suspect #2 is described as a male, black, 17-18 years of age, 5'3" tall, slim build, possibly having braids, wearing all black clothing, black hat and gloves.
Police revealed on Tuesday that the vehicle in this case was recovered and is being processed for evidence.
