Police search for suspect who robbed Subway restaurant
RACINE -- Racine police need help identifying a man who robbed a Subway restaurant on Douglas Ave. on the evening of May 23rd.
Investigators say the suspect walked into the store shortly before 9 p.m. He asked the clerk for change. When the clerk went to get the change, the suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded money.
The suspect then lunged across the counter and forcibly removed the coin dispenser from the hands of the clerk. The suspect then fled the restaurant with the dispenser.
The suspect was described as a light skinned male, 35-40 years of age, wearing a tan and black flannel jacket, white shirt and blue jeans.
