Police seek suspect in fatal hit-and-run crash on Milwaukee's northwest side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Milwaukee's northwest side early Wednesday morning, March 25th. It happened near N. 91st St. and Fond du Lac Ave. around 5:40 a.m.

According to police, a 61-year-old Milwaukee man was walking westbound across N. 91st Street when a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed hit the victim.  The vehicle, an older model blue minivan, stopped for a brief time but then fled from the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
