Police: Three suspects in custody, firearm & cash recovered after Tri-City Bank robbed

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say three suspects are in custody after a bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday afternoon, April 22nd.

It happened just before 3:00 p.m. at the Tri-City National Bank in the 3300 block of S. 27th Street.

Police say one suspect entered the bank with a gun and demanded money from an employee.  He then fled the scene in a vehicle with two other occupants.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later near S. 6th Street and W. Virginia Street.

Three male suspects were taken into custody following a brief foot chase.

Officers also recovered a gun in the area and the cash stolen in the robbery.

The suspects are a 19-year-old man and two 20-year-old men.

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges.
