Police: Two in custody for questioning in attempted robbery at Racine home
RACINE -- Racine police say two suspects have been taken into custody for questioning about their alleged role in an attempted robbery on Virginia Street on Monday evening, May 16th.
Officials say around 9:45 p.m., the 23-year-old victim had apparently been approached by two suspects at a home. The two suspects demanded money. The victim fled the scene in his vehicle and was pursued by the suspects. It was learned that the victim was able to lose the suspects.
Investigating officers identified the address of one of the suspects in this case -- and issued a search warrant for evidence. Two suspects were later taken into custody for interviews.
