Police: Two shot, injured in two separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred early Friday morning, August 5th.

The first shooting occurred in the area of 11th and Burnham around 1:15 a.m.

The investigation reveals that a confrontation took place between a 41-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man. At some point during the confrontation, the woman shot the male victim.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury. The woman remained on the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Milwaukee Police responded to a second unrelated shooting that occurred in the area of 42nd and North Avenue around 2:10 a.m.

Officials say the circumstances surrounding this shooting are still being investigated. The adult male victim is not being forthcoming with information at this point.

He was conveyed to a local hospital by an unknown person and is expected to survive the gunshot
