Police unable to locate men after pursuit involving Jaguar that ended in Mequon
BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police are seeking suspects who led them on a pursuit on Monday, June 22nd.
A Brown Deer police lieutenant tells FOX6 News he was headed northbound on Brown Deer Road around 4:30 p.m. when he spotted a Jaguar driving at a high rate of speed.
The lieutenant saw the Jaguar almost strike another vehicle near the intersection of Schroeder Drive and Green Bay Road.
The Jaguar then proceeded to run through a stop light, and the lieutenant continued to follow the vehicle.
Mequon police were notified that Brown Deer police were heading into their jurisdiction.
The Jaguar turned into a driveway and drove into the backyard of a residence, which leads to a creek.
Police say it was then that the vehicle's two African-American male occupants -- one of whom was wearing a white sleeveless shirt, got out of the car and fled across the creek and into a field.
Officers set up a perimeter, and a Mequon police K9 unit was called to the scene.
Officers were unable to find the Jaguar's occupants.
Police are looking into whether the vehicle that was being driven was stolen. The vehicle was recovered.
