POLICE: Wanted man, Anthony Bradley, shot and killed himself when confronted by officers

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say murder suspect Anthony Bradley has committed suicide. According to police, the 42-year-old was wanted in connection with the murder of his wife, 33-year-old Karen Bradley.

Authorities say Bradley killed himself this afternoon when officers went to confront him in a home in the 900 block of N. 24th Street Friday, December 12th.

Police say this happened at about 4:15 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Police and neighbors say there are several group homes on the block and the incident happened in one of them.

Milwaukee Police Department says it got a tip about the suspect's location and when officers knocked on the door, they heard a single gunshot.

When they went inside, they found the suspect suffering from a single wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

FOX6 News spoke to one neighbor who didn't want to be identified -- the man says he's feeling even less safe than he was before.

"This is the second incident that's happened. There was a stabbing a month ago, now it's a suicide," said the neighbor.

FOX6 News spoke with another neighbor that says people tend to come and go from these houses and there are occasionally people hiding out around there.

When asked if it surprised him that an alleged murder suspect was staying in one of the houses, he said 'not at all.'

Bradley had been charged with killing his wife, Karen Bradley, on December 5th. According to court documents, it happened in front of the couple's daughters.
