MILWAUKEE — Former President Barack Obama spoke at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Friday, Oct. 26 to urge people to vote for the state's Democratic candidates.
Pres. Obama made no mention of the pipe bomb scare as he rallied in front of the crowd of thousands at North Division High School.
"I am here for one simple reason. I am here to ask you to vote. To vote in what might be the most important election in our lifetime," Pres. Obama said.

Obama urged the crowd to vote as he stumps for Democratic candidates in Wisconsin.
"The consequences of anyone sitting out is profound because America is at a crossroads right now," said Pres. Obama.
Mr. Obama campaigned for Democrats up and down the ballot, including Senator Tammy Baldwin and Democratic Candidate for governor, Tony Evers.
"We're going to win this thing," Evers said. "We're fired up and going to take back Wisconsin. It's time for a change."
Pres. Obama took aim at the Republican party. He says the biggest threat in the next election is indifference.

"When you vote for sheriff and DA and state reps and secretary of state of and state treasurer, you have the power to make sure our voting rights are protected," Pres. Obama said.
Pres. Obama's visit comes two days after current President Donald Trump was in the state to campaign for Republican candidates. His speech was the sharpest and most direct takedowns of Trump's presidency, although the former president was careful to never mention Pres. Trump by name Friday.
Obama cited a recent Pres. Trump comment that he would pass a tax cut before the November election. Obama then told the crowd in a Milwaukee high school gymnasium that "Congress isn't even in session. He just makes it up."
