President Obama's visit to Denver gets bizarre when he's offered a hit of weed!

(CNN) -- President Obama's visit to Denver on Tuesday, July 8th was a bit bizarre, as presidential visits go.

There were beers a-plenty, a photo op with a gorilla statue and an offer to light up!

It all started on the trip from the airport to downtown Denver.

The presidential motorcade passed a bearded man holding a sign reading: "Free Weed 4 Obama."

Colorado recently passed a law legalizing the recreational use of marijuana.

By the time he sat down at a pizza joint with people who had written him letters, President Obama loosened his blue tie and rolled up his sleeves.

As the night went on, there was pool playing and beer drinking with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper.

A patron offered to buy President Obama a beer.

His reply? "It's too late man. I just got one."

And apparently -- there was another offer -- to partake in some weed!

A man posted a video on Instagram saying it shows him offering President Obama a hit.

The man says President Obama just laughed.
