Protocol now in place to screen for Ebola virus at Milwaukee County Jail
MILWAUKEE CO. (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County Jail now has in place a protocol to screen for the Ebola virus.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said in a news release, "The screening is a proactive way to reduce the likelihood of the Ebola virus disease entering the jail, and in the event that it did, to prevent its spread."
Sheriff David Clarke added, "Routine screening occurs for every inmate for diseases like TB and Hepatitis C. We’re adding the Ebola Virus Disease in light of legitimate public concern."
