Race for the White House: Hillary Clinton to campaign in Milwaukee next month
MILWAUKEE — Democrat Hillary Clinton plans to campaign in Wisconsin for the first time since announcing her presidential campaign.
Clinton's campaign announced Friday that she will be in Milwaukee on Sept. 10 for a public event and a fundraiser. More details about the events were to come later.
Clinton was campaigning near Wisconsin on Friday. She is hosting a town hall meeting on her college affordability plan in Dubuque, Iowa, just across the Mississippi River from Wisconsin.
Earlier this week Clinton criticized Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican presidential candidate, for his higher education record.
Clinton's campaign says next month's Milwaukee visit will focus on her vision for the economy.
