"He died in front of me," said Molkentine. "He died. He never made it to the ambulance, and he died. He was my neighbor, friend."

Police say Gomez admitted to stabbing the man.

"Why do people have to die in your arms in your driveway in this day and age? Why? Why?" said Molkentine.

Molkentine said he knows there was nothing else he could have done to save his neighbor, but he shared a message he hopes will help someone else.

"These were good people," said Molkentine. "Why? This domestic must stop. Please. Somehow."
