Racine Co. authorities investigate assault at Case Eagle Park
RACINE CO. (WITI) -- Racine County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a report of a possible sexual assault at Case Eagle Park in the Village of Rochester. It allegedly happened around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd.
Deputies investigating the case were advised that the assault may have occurred in the restrooms located on the east side of the park near the baseball diamonds.
Deputies learned that a group of developmentally disabled citizens were visiting the park and had stopped to use the restroom. The group chaperone advised that one of the males in the group was in the restroom for an extended period of time and she became concerned due to his special needs.
The chaperone then made entry into the restroom and observed a man exit one of the stalls with his pants unzipped and partially exposed genitalia. Immediately after the suspect exited the stall and walked out of the restroom, the disabled subject stepped out of the same stall.
The suspect proceeded to what was described as newer four-door black vehicle and left the park.
The suspect was described as an older white male wearing a yellow polo style shirt and khaki pants. No other description of the suspect was available and the potential victim is non-verbal.
Anyone having any information regarding this incident or any similar incidents is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-636-9330 or the Racine County Sheriff Criminal Investigations Bureau at 262-636-3991.
