Racine County fatal crash; Highway K and Beaumont, 1 dead

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. - A 32-year-old Walworth County resident is dead after a fatal crash in Racine County on Wednesday afternoon. Jan. 29.
What we know:
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office said the two-vehicle accident happened around 3:30 p.m. near Highway K and Beaumont in the Town of Norway. A witness reported that one party was unresponsive.
Kansasville and Norway emergency crews responded to the scene.

Officials said the 32-year-old was stopped at the stop sign for Beaumont. It is suspected he was unfamiliar with the area and pulled out in front of a utility pick-up truck traveling east on Highway K, driven by a 28-year-old Racine County resident.
The Walworth County man was extricated from the heavily damaged car and a Flight for Life was called. Despite life-saving efforts, the Walworth County resident succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
Officials said the operator of the utility pick-up truck remained on scene and was fully cooperative with the investigation.
There was no sign of impairment for either operator. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
