Racine man arrested for 5th drunk driving offense
RACINE (WITI) -- 44-year-old David Simington of Racine was arrested Friday morning, June 7th for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense.
Simington was stopped by a Wisconsin State Trooper around 1:53 a.m. for a seatbelt violation in Racine County. During the traffic stop the trooper observed signs of intoxication and performed field sobriety tests.
Based on the field sobriety tests, it was determined that the driver was operating while intoxicated. The driver was arrested for OWI-5th offense. A blood draw was conducted at St. Marys hospital without incident and results are pending.
Simington driver was then transported to the Racine County Jail.
