Racine man charged following disturbance inside restaurant

RACINE (WITI) -- A Racine man has been charged in connection with an alleged disturbance inside a restaurant.

53-year-old Christopher Glover of Racine faces one count of disorderly conduct (repeater).

On October 2nd, officers were dispatched to a restaurant located in the 1700 block of Taylor Avenue following a report of a man yelling in the dining room, indicating that he had a weapon.

An individual inside the restaurant told officials Glover walked into the restaurant and began bothering customers by standing next to their tables and talking loudly. That individual told officials he believed Glover may have been asking patrons for money, according to the criminal complaint.

At that time, Glover was asked to leave the restaurant.

The individual inside the restaurant told officials Glover continued to swear and talk loudly as he walked toward the front door -- before indicating he may have had a weapon, according to the criminal complaint.

The criminal complaint says Glover has been asked at least 10 times in the past two months to leave the restaurant after causing a disturbance.

The individual inside the restaurant told officials Glover typically comes into the restaurant at night when he is intoxicated, and will take food off of the plates of customers before he leaves.

Glover was reportedly angry and uncooperative at the police station, according to the criminal complaint.

Glover has a lengthy criminal history, with convictions dating back to 1992.
