Minutes after Carr was found, a 19-year-old woman, identified as Shamya Anderson, called to confess she hit someone in the same area, per the complaint.

After the crash, Anderson told investigators she let her passengers out because they did not want to be in "trouble" and then drove to Geneva Street. Anderson claims she did not pull over immediately after hitting the man because she was concerned about "human trafficking" and thought she was potentially being setup to be kidnapped, according to the complaint.
Anderson claims she looked for the person she struck afterward, but did not see him.
