Racine man faces fourth OWI conviction in five years
RACINE (WITI) -- 64-year-old Albert Stinson of Racine has been charged in connection with his fourth OWI offense in five years.
Stinson faces the following charges: OWI (fourth offense in five years), operating a motor vehicle while revoked (OWI related) and failure to install ignition interlock device.
Stinson was pulled over on Sunday, November 17th after an officer saw him swerving, according to a criminal complaint int he case.
Stinson told an officer he had not been drinking, and said he was coming from a friend's house where he had watched a football game, according to the complaint.
An officer noticed Stinson was driving while revoked, and did not have an ignition interlock device installed. When asked about that, Stinson told officials he was working on getting that done, according to the complaint.
The complaint indicates Stinson performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
A breathalyzer read .11, according to the criminal complaint.
The complaint indicates Stinson refused a blood test, and a search warrant was obtained.
