Racine man leads police on chase with 1-year-old in vehicle
RACINE (WITI) -- A 32-year-old Racine man is facing multiple charges, including cocaine possession, after leading police on a chase with a 1-year-old in his vehicle on Friday morning, October 3rd.
The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. when officers witnessed a traffic violation and attempted to pull over a car being driven by Willie King.
As two officers approached the stopped vehicle King sped away, beginning a pursuit by police.
During the chase, officers believed King threw an item out his window. They called for other officers to search the area and eventually discovered a plastic baggie containing cocaine.
King stopped at Washington Park Golf Course where he was arrested.
Officers found three other individuals in the car, including a 1-year-old child. One of the passengers confirmed King threw and item out the window, but claimed he did not know what it was.
