Racine police: 49-year-old man in ICU following stabbing incident; investigation ongoing
RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday morning, July 1st in the 1600 block of State Street.
According to authorities, police responded to the scene around 1 a.m. after receiving reports of a male stabbing victim that needed medical treatment.
Upon arrival, officers located a 49-year-old man.
The victim was transported by rescue to Wheaton Franciscan Emergency Room for treatment of his injuries.
He remains in ICU and is expected to recover.
This is an ongoing investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
