Racine police investigate death of elderly man in his home
RACINE -- Racine police are investigating the death of 84-year-old Donald Thompson at his home on Thursday, November 8th.
Thompson was found in his home on Victory Ave. by a relative around 3:20 p.m. Thursday. That relative called 911 -- and when the emergency responders arrived on scene, they found Thompson was deceased.
Neighbors say officers on Friday, November 9th investigated inside the home and canvassed outside.
"The investigators asked me if I saw anything suspicious I haven`t seen anything." said Orval Larrabee. "There`s been crime units throughout the yard digging around looking for stuff in the backyard."
Other neighbors are just concerned and plan to be more cautious when outdoors.
"Something like this is a little bit scary for us," said Lea Brusha. "We have to do some things different just for us and our family to feel more safe and we`re reaching out to other neighbors as well."
Police are not saying anything more about this case at this time.
