Racine police need your help to identify theft suspect
RACINE -- Racine police are asking for your help in identifying a theft suspect.
On January 18th, 2012 at about noon, an elderly victim was approached by the suspect in the 3300 block of Washington Ave. The suspect claimed to be homeless and asked the victim for money. The victim gave the suspect some money, took the suspect to a nearby fast food restaurant and bought the suspect lunch.
On January 19th around 12:45 P.M. the suspect again approached the victim in the 3300 block of Washington Ave. The suspect removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and ran from the area. Several witness saw the suspect enter the passenger side of a tan Buick Rendezvous that then drove from the area.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, 5’10”, wearing a green Army fatigue type jacket with a hood, blue jeans and red and black “Jordans.”
