Racine police: One dead, one in critical condition following crash involving box truck

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police say one woman is dead, and another is in critical condition following a crash involving three vehicles that occurred on Main Street on Monday afternoon, September 8th.

It happened just after 11:30 a.m.

Police say the accident involved two passenger vehicles and a large box truck.

Officers responding to the scene observed a critically injured 33-year-old Racine woman unresponsive in one of the vehicles. A second woman located in the same vehicle was also observed to be critically injured.

Both women were taken to the hospital, where the 33-year-old woman died.

The second woman is in critical condition.

A third individual suffered minor injuries.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
