Racine police: "Person of interest" in custody for questioning after one shot near 6th & Jones
RACINE -- Racine police say one person was hurt in a shooting that happened near 6th Street and Jones Street on Sunday, April 24th.
It happened around 11:00 a.m.
Police say a 47-year-old victim was located by officers -- suffering from a single gunshot wound.
A preliminary investigation has revealed the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal argument when the suspect produced a gun and shot the victim once.
Officials with the Racine Police Department conducted a neighborhood canvass and a person of interest was taken into custody for questioning.
