Racine police schedule community meeting as three convicted sex offenders set to be released
RACINE -- Racine police have scheduled a meeting for Monday evening, July 27th to discuss three sex offenders that are set to be released into the community.
Police say 44-year-old James Doxtater will be living at 4800 Durand Avenue, 40-year-old Gary Sutton will be living at 4606 Durand Avenue, and 69-year-old Jose Trevino will be living at 1430 Washington Avenue.
On Monday evening at 6:30, police and representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections will be on hand to provide more information to residents. Adult subject matter will be discussed, and police ask that only adults attend.
Police say Doxtater, Sutton and Trevino have been convicted of sex offenses, and their criminal history places them in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.
These offenders have served the sentences imposed upon them by the courts.
They are not wanted by the police at this time.
Police say this notification is not intended to increase fear -- but police say an informed public is a safer public.
Doxtater will be released into the community on or before August 11th. He was convicted in 2004 of first degree sexual assault of a child. He is required to wear a GPS bracelet, and he is a lifetime registrant with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
Sutton was released on or before July 21st. He was convicted in 2008 for exposing a child to harmful descriptions. He is required to wear a GPS bracelet and he is a lifetime registrant with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
Trevino will be released on or before August 2nd. He was convicted in 2011 for a sex registry violation. He is required to wear a GPS bracelet and he is a lifetime registrant with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.
