Racine police search for driver who crashed SUV into home

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are searching for the driver of an SUV following a crash near Wolff and Erie in Racine Wednesday night, December 4th.

According to officials, a black SUV rammed into the home around 10:00 p.m.

Neighbors tell FOX6 News that a 92-year-old woman who lives inside the home was only a room away from taking the brunt of the impact.

The 92-year-old woman apparently told the driver to call 911 -- that's when the driver fled the scene.

Racine police say they are searching for a known suspect.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
