GREEN BAY -- A replica of Elvis Presley's favorite roller coast is ready to ride again in Wisconsin after stalling on the 35th anniversary of his death.
A malfunction stranded cars at the top of the Zippin Pippin Thursday morning, August 16th in Green Bay.
17 riders had to wait about an hour until firefighters could begin unloading them one-by-one.
Firefighters tethered themselves to each rider and helped walk them down the ride.
A post on the Zippin Pippin Facebook page says one of 25 safety sensors received "a false positive'' and that shuts down the ride. The post says the sensor has been replaced and it is ready to take riders.
The Zippin Pippin was known as Presley's favorite roller coaster when it was located at an amusement park in Memphis.
